Whether you're new to the game or visiting from another club, you're welcome at Kelburn Municipal Croquet Club.

A friendly introduction to the game is free to newcomers at any time. Contact us about a suitable time to come along and join in.

The Calendar and Playing Times page shows when the club is open and members are there to help. All you need are flat shoes to play on the lawns.

We can provide all equipment and coaching. Our historic club was established in 1913. It has five croquet lawns and is set in beautiful surroundings at the south end of Kelburn Park, on Salamanca Road, just a 10-minute walk to the CBD.

There is a car park for members and visitors. The entrance is on Salamanca Road, via the gate between the club lawns and the tennis courts.

We play both Golf and Association Croquet. Golf croquet is easier for newcomers to master. Association croquet is played by experienced players.

New to croquet? Here's some info for new players.

CLUB UPDATE

Have a Go at a game of croquet

If you've always wanted to try a game of croquet, summer is the time to do it. In summer, we offer "Have a Go" days where you can get a free introduction to the game.

We provide all equipment and enough coaching to get your game under way. All you need are flat shoes to play on the lawns. Sneakers, jandals, or bare feet are okay - just not shoes with heels. You might also want to bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and your lunch. We do not have a cafe on site, but we have a clubhouse with all facilities.

To find out when our free Have a Go days are, get in touch by email

We are located at 65 Salamanca Road Kelburn, between Kelburn Park and Club Kelburn.

See the map on our Contact page to find us.
